While we have witnessed hundreds of thousands of Tunisian and Egyptian people taking to the streets, putting their life on the line to win civil rights to their respective people, here in Malta we are seeing Members of Parliament declaring unashamedly that they intend to deny with their vote, thousands of their fellow citizens, the civil right to remarry once their first marriage would have ceased to exist for years. A right which all other people of the world have had for ages! Shame!
