Sadly, and unfortunately, many an epoch in human history has experienced disgrace and degradation due to shocking events that led to crimes or brutalities of incredible proportions.
Starting with the earliest recorded era, its beginning highlighted an event in the evolution of human wickedness when Herod ordered the indiscriminate and total slaughter of the helpless young to protect his callous self.
Brutal persecutions of Jews and other religious denominations followed and dominated every age.
Contemporary history has not escaped similar atrocities or occurrences, as witnessed and experienced during the astronomical rise of wickedness and cruelty reaching its peak throughout the reign of the Nazi regime via the most abominable methods and instruments never seen before or since.
This brutal ordeal was mercilessly inflicted on innumerable victims, regardless of age or sex, in secluded soldier-patrolled concentration camps.
Our turn to experience first-hand periodical historical retrogression is reflected in the widespread movement bearing the banner of human rights − helping and encouraging the slaughter and dismemberment of helpless foetuses aided and abetted by a group of opportunistic and heartless medics.
It is indeed mind boggling and perplexing how such obscene crimes can be perpetrated by none other than the conceivers and life-bearers themselves whose maternal instincts and inclinations run precisely counter to those of protecting and looking after the helpless offspring both inside and outside the womb, and if need be, even at the cost of their own lives.
This maternal instinct of love and life protection is highly conspicuous in every creature irrespective of size, shape and method of movement.
How downright degrading and disrespectful it is that animal behaviour in this regard is now infinitely superior to that of supposedly intelligent beings hell-bent on enjoying a free and unfettered lifestyle.
Highly significant is the recently emerging evidence that such a selfish philosophy is being rejected by a substantial section of the rich and famous who, through their own experience, are re-discovering the inestimable value of their beloved offspring as being way above everything desirable.
They are also experiencing a deep conviction that love, care and respect constitute the only solid foundation for a united and happy family group.
That induced abortion is inadmissible and socially disruptive is not just a religious issue or belief, but is also of fundamental economic and social relevance and importance.
This is borne out by the crying labour needs of countries whose only source of wealth and prosperity relies on the strength, number and prowess of their invaluable human resources.
On the other hand, those nations rich in natural resources are feeling equally concerned about adequate availability of this vital living resource to maintain and improve present and future living standards.
It is probably already too late in the day to implement effective, corrective measures to reroute society on the natural and rational path of growth and self-preservation via the way of love and care of the most precious and beautiful of beings − the developing infant.
At the end of the day, let us all remember that we too once belonged to this same group of endangered tiny living beings.
The fact that we are here to enjoy life and the remarkable wonders accompanying it is solely due to our luck of antedating the selfish trend of disrespect for life.
Society in general must convince itself that the only object in life, worthy of and crying for abortion, is abortion itself.
