Vittoriosa coach Winston Muscat was yesterday handed a two-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Board. Vittoriosa lost last Saturday’s important relegation clash against Hibernians, with the Stars now firmly anchored at the bottom of the table.

Six Premier League players were also suspended for one match yesterday. The worst hit were Tarxien Rainbows who had Justin Grioli and Manuel Caruana suspended.

The other four players suspended were Birkirkara’s Shaun Bajada, Floriana’s Clyde Borg, Hamrun Spartans’ Peter Anizoba, and Brian Fairbairn of Hibernians.

Five players were suspended for one match in the First Division League. These were Kurt Pace (Dingli Swallows), Wilson Caushi (Mqabba), Keith Darmanin (Lija Athletic), and Neil Curmi (Msida SJ)
