Qormi  won this game scoring a goal in the 67th minute when after a good pass in the D Philip Magri flicked in from close range.

The first half did not produce any fireworks although Qormi hit the post in the 5th minute.  Young Stars countered by missing a good chance of their own in the 16th minute.This was followed by a long period of play in midfield with no team really dominating proceedings.

In the second half Qormi piled on the pressure early on but both teams created a chance each.   The game then sprang to life in the 57th minute when Young Stars were awarded a penalty stroke which Chris Attard failed to convert. 

This could have been the turning point of the match but when the game seemed to be going to end in deadlock, Qormi scored three minutes from time to settle a hard fought game.   

Young Stars forced a short corner in the dying seconds but to no avail.
