I would like to ask those few Labour MPs who have publicly expressed their anti-divorce stand: How can they reconcile their anti-civil rights position against divorce, with their affiliation to a progressive democratic socialist political party, which has always striven to win civil rights for the Maltese people in the past, such as civil marriage?
I am not asking this question to the great majority of Nationalist MPs because the PN has, once again, confirmed that it is not a conservative party, even less a liberal party. It is just a confessional, or Church dominated political party, with its official position against the civil right of divorce!
