I am a travel blog writer and I was recently in Malta. I haven’t been here for a few years, and I’m so impressed by what you have done to tidy up the temple complexes after the vandalism that had taken place during my last visit.
I also have the impression that the beaches are cleaner and can see that your smoking rubbish mountain has stopped smelling. Bravo for these kinds of improvements.
I am surprised about one thing though. I was at dinner with friends in Valletta and couldn’t believe the persistent barking of dogs that is allowed to go on.
Apparently someone keeps a pack of wild dogs at the end of an alley just near Sappers St. (where they live next to Hastings garden) and no one does anything about it, even the police or the health department. This kind of problem has even been sorted out in Sicily and Sicily is normally a bit behind Malta.
Anyway, despite that, I’ll be back. Malta is so friendly and there is so much history to see, and you can count on me to write about it all.
