Debenhams launched a design competition on Facebook to coincide with the first anniversary of its outlet, the largest at The Point in Sliema. The winning design will be printed on T-shirts to be worn by the sales team for the Debenhams One Year Anniversary.
The winner will be awarded €300 in gift vouchers as well as a Privilege Customer discount card.
Participants who are interested in participating in the Debenhams One Year Anniversary Facebook competition may visit the Debenhams Malta Facebook page for the submission terms and conditions. The closing date is at midnight on Sunday March 6.
All submissions will be uploaded on Facebook on Monday March 7 when the public voting will start. The number of ‘Likes’ carry a 50% vote weighting. The remaining 50% depends on the Debenhams judging panel, consisting of Kyle Xuereb Cunningham,
Debenhams’ Visual and Marketing Coordinator, and artist Nicola Sultana. Ms Sultana has specialised in art at Lorenzo dei Medici school in Florence with works, ranging from still lifes to strong contemporary flowers, landscapes, sea scapes, portraits in oils and acrylic.
Voting ends on Sunday March 20.
“We would love to showcase some local talent in our great store alongside designers of international fame such as Julian Mcdonald, Matthew Williamson and Ben De Lisi,” said Kevin Gollcher, General Manager of Debenhams in Malta. “Through this competition, we are encouraging talent from our followers to propose their design ideas, which we shall happily showcase in our branding to mark our first, remarkably successful, year of operation at The Point.”
