Cycling: St Paul’s Bay Bypass race next Sunday

The next event in the cycling calendar is next Sunday’s St Paul’s Bay bypass race, organised by Melita Pedal Power Cycling Club.

The race director will be Ruben Aquilina.

It starts at 10am and will finish by 11am. The start and finish will be opposite the entrance to Marsovin wineries (near ‘lay-by’/belvedere) down to Burmarrad, Xemxija/Ghajn Tuffieha round-about. (As usual cyclists will turn around the central strip (round-abouts are not part of the circuit)

There will be a mass start but the distances will be different, according to each category. The approximate lap distance is 5.8kms.

Elite/Open 87 kms

Juniors 58 kms

Masters 40 + 52 kms k

Ladies 52 kms

50 + 46 kms

60 + 41 kms

Under 15 17.4 kms

Under 12 Shortened route
