Malta’s women national team started its committments in the UEFA Euro Preliminary Round with an encouraging 1-0 win against Georgia yesterday.
Rebecca D’Agostino scored the all important goal in added time at the Centenary Stadium.
The Maltese girls deserved their win because they held the initiative for most of the match and were rewarded in added time.
In another match from the same Group, Armenia beat Faroe Islands 1-0.
Malta plays Faroe Islands tomorrow at 2pm.
