Congratulations to the Students of ITS for the well-deserved awards (‘Excellent performance from ITS students’ TMID, 9 March).

In 1965 we did not have these opportunities, but we feel proud that we laid the grounds. We used to borrow cutlery, furniture and equipment from five-star hotels to be able to do our finals.

Thanks to Mr and Mrs Watkins of the Msida Catering School 1965, for their dedication, time and patience, and also some of the chefs that worked in The Casino and the Hilton those days.

Keep it up and let’s see your efforts on our tables with food, wine and the service that is most desired.
