Umpires: Ray Micallef, John Williams

White Hart were first off the blocks and went ahead in the third minute through a Paul Torpiano effort.

After a period of shared midfield play, Young Stars drew level in the 21st minute following a good move down the left flank which was well converted by Marvin Vella.

The rest of the half was rather eneventful.

The game came alive in the second half when in the 40th minute Joseph Dalli scored after a melee in front of goal when three shots had already beaten out.

Both sides forced a number of short corners and in the 57th minute, as a result of one, Young Stars scored their third goal in the 62nd minute after yet another long drawn out action in front of goal.

There was still some time for Luke Busuttil Leaver to miss a penalty in the 61st minute for White Hart and for them to hit the post two minutes later, leaving the score unchanged despite their endeavours.

Rabat Depiro  2

Umpires: David Agius, Anthony Tabone

This turned out to be a very interesting encounter which could have gone either way.

Both sides started cautiously and after a short period of Rabat pressure in the 18th minute Shawn Falzon hit a beauty from top of the D after a short corner action.

Hotsticks rallied and in the 28th minute they equalised through Simon Baldacchino also as a result of short corner of their own.

They finished the half on attack but the score remained unchanged.  In the second half Rabat forced two short corners and had a shot saved on the line.

Hotsticks reacted and a period of midfield play followed.   In the 54th minutes Rabat forced two short corners in quick succession and as result of the second one they were awarded a penalty stroke which Ciarlo Antonelli scored to give Rabat a 2-1 lead.

Hotsticks reacted strongly and forced three short corners in the last five minutes, but despite their efforts Rabat hung on to win a hard fought game.
