On behalf of the Burmarrad / Wardija Administrative Committee, and in the name of the residents of these villages, I would like to thank the central government, especially the Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication, as well as the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs for the work carried out at Burmarrad during the past months. This work was a necessity and had been long desired by the residents of Burmarrad.
It is noted with satisfaction that the government has now catered for the needs of our locality. The number of cars passing through the streets of Burmarrad is increasing every day, as are the security needs of its residents. That is why the work done on pavements in Triq Burmarrad was a priority, as well as the rebuilding of walls that were collapsing and the cleansing of the valleys. Apart from this, the ministry responsible for transport has installed three sets of new traffic lights in Triq Burmarrad. These will further help the people of the localities of Burmarrad and Wardija to be served in the best possible way.
Certainly, there is always more that can be done and this is exactly what the Administrative Committee is trying to achieve. More work is planned for the coming months, with the help of the central government, through schemes issued by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Councils, as well as with funds allocated to the Administrative Committee of Burmarrad and Wardija.
