In a one sided match which offered practically no competition, San Giljan Firetech easily rolled over a weak Marsascala Solid Base notching up regular goals at will.

The first two sessions saw the Giljanizi register a 7 goal advantage with the goals coming from six different players as coach Karl Izzo rotated his players with ease.

The third session went 3-0 in favour of San Giljan who also missed a penalty but the match had long been decided by that time.

The final session saw Marsascala take a 2-0 lead but San Giljan stormed back through Galea, Galea and Dowling to close off the match 17-3 in their favour.

In a tight match, Sliema and Sirens faced up to determine who would be challenging Neptunes for this season’s Winter League with Sirens recording an important victory.

The first two sessions were exact copies of each other albeit with different winners for a 3-3 scoreline at the halfway point.

The match continued in a balanced vein even in the third session with Sirens twice going a goal up only to be pegged back in the final seconds of the session through a Soler goal.

However the winning goal came midway through the fourth session courtesy of David Cutajar for a famous victory at St Paul’s Bay.

The final match of the evening which was not valid for points, Exiles registered a comfortable victory against a rather tame ASA U/17 side. The first two sessions went Exiles’ way 3-0 and 3-2 with Pace Lupi and Sullivan scoring regularly.

The third session saw Exiles increase their lead winning 4-1 with further goals from Sullivan, Paris and Pace Lupi while the final session continued the Exiles rout for a final score of 17-5 in favour of the Sliema side.
