Hibernians and Hamrun will be meeting today at the Gozo Stadium in the final of the Gozo Cup competition (second edition).

The competition has been organised by the Gozo Football Association in close collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretary Dr Chris Said.

Group A was won by Hibernians with maximum points after they beat the Gozo Selection 3-0 and Valletta 1-0. Valletta finished second as they beat Gozo 1-0.

Hamrun Spartans won Group B, also thanks to two wins over Floriana (2-0) and Qormi (1-0). In the other match, Floriana beat Qormi 7-6 on penalties to make sure of second place in the group.

Today’s programme will see Gozo playing against Qormi at 1pm for fifth and sixth places. Valletta will face their rivals Floriana in the match for third and fourth places at 3pm. The final will kick off at 5pm.
