The St Julian’s Local Council is doing splendid work in embellishing one dead-end public staircase to one side of Balluta Bay. Hopefully it will do something on similar lines on the side of the bay nearer to the Carmelite Church to one side of Balluta Mansions.

With some embellishing, this staircase could be turned into a beauty spot and the empty steep incline could perhaps be adorned with flower pots, as the steps between the auction rooms and the hotel have been. 

Another suggestion for the St Julian’s Local Council could be the putting up of a cane screen or something to diminish the Balluta valley side skips’ visual disagreeable aspect. And maybe one can also express the wish that the area residents association might deem to reawaken to continue to improve matters.
