Guests at the Seashells Resort at Suncrest were treated to three days of traditional Irish festivities this month when the troupe of dancers and musicians that form the Aer Lingus Band gave their show at the resort. The group of 14 artists performed a programme of Traditional Irish Music and Dance, ranging from Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, to the excitement of both local and foreign guests at the resort.

The Aer Lingus Band includes 2 Harps, 2 Singers, a Piper, a Fiddler, one musician playing Banjo, one musician on the accordion as well as two guitarists who are also singers, three fantastic female dancers who showed their skills performing traditional Irish dances. The band played a programme consisting of 2 sessions, one of 60 minutes and the other one 70 minutes long. They also performed in traditional costumes, with a costume change in the interval between the two sections of the programme.

Two performances were held on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th March, at the Seashell’s Ambassador Lounge, while another superb performance was held on the 17th – in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day – when the Band enchanted guests at the Poseidon Room.

“The Seashells Resort at Suncrest is immensely proud of having hosted this fabulous troupe of artists, who have performed with outstanding skills and delighted our guests to no end. We always strive to ensure that being a guest at the Seashells Resort in not simply a matter of having a place to stay during your visit, but rather a matter of having a ‘holiday home’ where your holiday is above all else an experience of great relaxation, incredible enjoyment and excellent friendly service. That is why our guests remain loyal, year after year,” said a spokesperson for the Resort.
