The Youth Football Association has issued a statement in which it condemned and strongly deplored the incidents that occurred on Sunday afternoon during the under 17 Section A league match between Mosta and Pieta.

The association has assured all concerned that, after investigations are carried out, all necessary measures according to disciplinary procedures will be taken against anyone who has created and been involved in these incidents, to ensure that such incidents will not be repeated in future.

The Youth FA will take any disciplinary action possible in order to eradicate this violent behaviour, which has no place in sport, especially in matches involving young players and is a bad example for our youths.
