Swieqi were close early on through Fabian Debono with Xghajra losing a clear opportunity through Alex Azzopardi.
In the 27th minute Swieqi opened the score through Eric Sciberras after a Michael Ciappara free-kick had bounced off the post.
Then a Ciappara free-kick finished just wide but in the 45th minute Swieqi increased their lead through Victor Kamara following good work by Fabien Debono.
In added time Swieqi were denied by Scicluna off a shot by John Debono.
After the change of ends, Swieqi dominated completely their opponents and after eight minutes they made it 3-0 as Victor Kamara headed in from a Pierre Gaillouste free-kick.
In the 56th minute Fabian Debono scored a fourth goal with a close-range shot and in the 73rd minute they made it 5-0 through a shot by Wildoin Vella following good work by Eric Sciberras.
Swieqi sustained the pressure and in the 86th minute Wildon Vella finished off from a cross by John Debono for their sixth goal.
In the final three minutes Swieqi scored two further goals through John Debono for a final 8-0 scoreline!

St Venera L-Mdina K 2-0
St Venera played the better football throughoutr the first period and early on they were twice very close through efforts by Dalton Wingfield and Stefan Farrugia.
However on 29 minutes the Lightnings opened the score as a throughg-pass by Jeffrey Zammit allowed Mark Grech to shoot home past Cini, Grech celebrating in style his 200th miatch for St Venera.
Gradually Mdina reacted and were denied by Warren Cuschieri off a conclusion by Trevor Fenech but in the 43rd minute they suffered a setback as their central defender Gilbert Camilleri was sent off for a professional foul.
A minute before the break the Lightnings made it 2-0 through a Stefan Farrugia direct free-kick which was deflected off an Mdina defender.
After the change of ends.the match was more balanced with Mdina going close early on through dangerous efforts by Robert Southward and Cachel Vella.
Gradually play ensued in the midfieldector with St Venera however going very close to a third goal in the 70th minute as a shot by Dalton Wingfield was cleared off the line by Alistair Bajada with the loose ball being picked up by Mark Grech whose close-range shot was saved by Cini.
In the 90th minute Mdina were close to a consolation goal as a Nicholas Micallef free-kick just missed the target.
This result means that St Venera Lightnings have been promoted to the Second Division and after the match this merited success was celebrated by their players, club officials and supporters.

Qrendi-Siggiewi 0-2
Siggiewi dictated the run of play throughout the first period and early on Kim Buhagiar shot just wide.
Qrendi then were close through Chris Farrugia whose shot was saved by Roderick Vella as Siggiewi were then denied by Ciantar off a shot by Roderick Farrugia and a Jason Camilleri free-kick.
Then Farrugia wasted a clear goal scoring opportunity and in the 34th minute Siggiewi had a Kim Buhagiar free-kick which just missed the target.
Five minutes before the break Siggiewi took the lead with Roderick Farrugia heading in past Ciantar from a cross by Mark Deguara.
After the change of ends Siggiewi continued to push forward and after just two minutes a strong shot by Harun Ahmem Muhamed was well saved by Ciantar.
Qrendi replied through Franklyn Delia whose effort was saved by Roderick Vella but in the 54th minute an indecision by the Qrendi keeper allowed Siggiewi to make it 2-0 through Jason Camilleri.
Then Siggiewi were twice close through Josef Vassallo with Qrendi hitting the post in the 64th minute through Chris Farrugia. In the closing stages Qrendi were very close to a consolation goal through efforts by Andrew Formosa and Johan Scicluna.
This result means that Siggiewi have obtained promotion to the Second Division with their numerous supportyers celebrating their team’s merited success.

Attard-Gudja U 1-2
Gudja opened the score after just nine minutes through Ndayi Kalenga with Attard responding on 20 minute as a personal effort by Jean Claude Cachia was saved with difficulty by Gudja’s custodian Matthew Xerxen.
At the other end Gudja were twice very close to increasing their lead through Peter Paul Sammut and just before the end of the first-half Attard went close as a shot by Kayne Said finished just wide.
After the break Attard reacted but the first opportunity belonged to Gudja as a crosshot by Peter Paul Sammut was saved by Dunstan Zarb.
In the 53rd minute Attard were unlucky as a shot by Erjon Beu hit the crossbar but two minutes later they were back on level terms with Kayne Said beating Xerxen from close-range from a free-kick taken by Erjon Beu.
In the 68th minute Gudja regained the lead through Ndayi Kalenga’s second goal from a Guazzo corner-kick with Attard’s reaction producing a shot by Jean Claude Cachia which finished just high over the bar and two shots by Erjon Beu which were saved by Xerxen.
Attard’s final attempts were well controlled by Gudja United with their numerous supporters celebrating their team’s promotion to the Second Division.

Marsa-Ghaxaq 2-0
The first period was a balanced affair with Ghaxaq being close early on as a shot by Francois Galea was saved by Keith Brincat.
Marsa replied through a Johan Camilleri effort which was blocked by Jensen Chetcuti and on another occasion Adam Yusif headed just wide from a cross by Joe Rizzo.
In the 26th minute Marsa were unlucky as a shot by Adam Yusif hit the crossbar and in the 42nd minute Marsa were again close as an angled shot by Jeremy Dallli just missed the target.
In added time Ghaxaq had a shot by Charles Camilleri which finished just high over the bar.
After the change of ends Ghaxaq gained the initiative early on and were twice denied by Marsa’s keeper Keith Brincat off attempts by Franrich Schembri and Albert Caruana.
They then wasted a clear opportunity through Bronwen Bugeja but on 59 minutes Marsa opened the score as substitute Charlo Debattista headed in from a cross by Joseph Rizzo.
In the 65th minute Marsa increased their lead through a header by Adam Yusif off a cross by Jeremy Dalli, the latter then wasting a sitter in the 74th minute. Late in the match Marsa were denied by Chetcuti off a strong shot by Yusif.

Kirkop-Pembroke Ath 3-0
Kirkop United dominated the first period and after going close through Orianski Buhagiar, they took the lead in the 13th minute through a close-range shot by Richard Galea.
Pembroke replied through dangerous efforts by Steve Micallef and Jean Claude Borg but on 29 minutes Kirkop increased their lead as Christian Mifsud finished off a good move by Chris Farrugia.
Kirkop kept pushing forward and shots by Joseph Fenech and Christian Mifsud finished just wide.
After the resumption Kirkop retained the initiative and on 61 minutes they scored a third goal through a long-range lob by Christian Mifsud which caught Debattista slightly out of goal.
Pembroke replied through Carlo Leonardi with Kirkop going close on two occasions through Christian Mifsud and Bryan Falzon.
They then wasted a clear goal scoring opportunity through Orianski Buhagiar and two minutes from time a close-range effort by Mifsud was well saved by Debattista.
This result means that both Kirkop United and Luqa St Andrews have been promoted and together with leaders Gharghur, will be playing Second Division football next season.

Sirens-Luqa SA 3-5
Luqa StAndrews dominated the first period and after going close through Mark Gatt, they managed to open the score in the 5th minute through Lee Baldacchino following a personal effort.
They were then denied by Schembri off a shot by Adrian Psaila but in the 9th minute they made it 2-0 through a low angled shot by Roderick Debattista.
Sirens came back through efforts by George Falzon and Leandro Blanco De Castro which were saved by Jeremy Gatt with Luqa replying through Baldacchino whose point-blank shot was blocked by Schembri. In the 45th minute Luqa made it 3-0 with their captain Lee Baldacchino getting his second goal.
In the initial stages of the second period Sirens reacted and were denied on two occasions off efforts by Derek Galea and Ryan Sciberras.
In the 58th minutes Sirens reduced the arrears through a beautiful goal scored by Ryan Theuma and two minutes later the same player was denied by the Luqa keeper.
However in the 65th minute Luqa’s striker Lee Baldacchino notched his hat-trick to make it 4-1, with Roderick Baldacchino getting a fifth goal for Luqa in the 73rd minute following a personal effort.
Eight minutes from time Sirens pulled another goal back through a Leandro Blanco De Castro free-kick and in the 90th minute they managed to score their third goal through Joseph Camilleri after a free-kick taken by Leandro Blanco De Castro had hit the crossbar.

Kalkara-Fgura U 2-3
Fgura took the lead after just four minutes through a low shot by Nazzareno Abela following a personal effort.
Then a shot by Matthew Spiteri was well saved by the Kalkara keeper with Kalkara gradually starting to share the exchanges and in the 18th minute they were denied by Redeemer Tabone off a point-blank shot by Nicholas Gatt.
Three minutes later Kalkara got the equalising goal through a long-range free-kick taken by Stefan Camilleri with Fgura coming back through efforts by Nazzareno Abela and Jeremy Gatt which were well saved by Fulvio Azzopardi.
However, a minute before the break Kalkara took the lead as Conrad Tabone headed in from a cross by Michael Zammit.
After the change of ends Fgura dictated the run of play and early on were very close through Silvano Pace and Matthew Schembri.
In the 64th minute Fgurawere given a penalty for a foul on Matthew Schembri with Matthew Spiteri duly converting from the spot to make it two-all.
Kalkara’s defender Stefan Camilleri protested and was sent off for a second caution. Fgura increased the pressure and in the 70th minute took the lead through Jeremy Gatt following a personal effort.
They were then denied by Azzopardi off a Matthew Schembri free-kick with Kalkara’s late reaction being controlled by Fgura.
