Umpire: Shawn Mifsud, Paul Brincat
This game can be decribed as a tale of two halves.
A very balanced first half when both teams won four short corners each. White Hart went ahead in the 13th minute when Luke Borg Costanzi netted a well-timed volley as a result of a short corner action.
After a short period of Rabat pressure a White Hart defensive error ended in their giving away a penalty in the 31st minute which Ciarlo Antonelli converted.
In the second half after initial pressure by White Hart during which Anthony Azzopardi missed a sitter in the 41st minute Rabat counter attacked and Mario Galea scored to put Rabat ahead in the 44th minute Rabat then took the game by the scruff of the neck and produced a period of play when they won seven short corners in eleven minutes.
Three goals were scored in the 45th, 50th and 55th minute through Kevin Micallef, Josef Antonelli and Shawn Falzon respectively to put the game out of reach for White Hart who fought hard and managed to pull one goal back in the 68th minute through a crisp David Agius effort.
The game as a contest was all over by mid way in the second half.
