Everything is set and ready to go for this year’s edition of the Crosscraft Spring Regatta. An event organized by the Birżebbuġa Sailing Club which qualifies as one of the Malta sailing Federation ranking regattas.

Sailors will battle it out on and around the waters of Birżebbuġa with six planned races being scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday. The regatta is open to all sailors in any of the following classes:

Optimist Class: Open, Cadet, Novice & Girls Overall Divisions.

Laser Class: 4.7, Radial and Standard Classes.

RS Feva open class

Any other type of class boat with a valid Portsmouth Yardstick.

A minimum of three boats shall constitute a class and a nominal registration fee of €15 per entry is required to cover the whole regatta. The first race on Saturday is scheduled to start at 12 noon and the one on Sunday at 11am.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three places in each class during the prizegiving presentation to be held at the Birżebbuġa Sailing Club clubhouse after the last race on Sunday.

This regatta will be the first ever racing event for the RS Feva Class, the latest double handed boat that has hit the maltese dinghy sailing scene this year.

Crosscraft company Ltd. - the household name in domestic appliances, will be sponsoring the regatta for the third year running.
