I write with reference to Daphne Caruana Galizia’s opinion piece entitled “The moral superiority of those who don’t have television” (TMIS, 24 April). In it, Ms Caruana Galizia bases her arguments on her own personal experiences. Ms Caruana Galizia should know that subjective experience is not evidence.

It does not help in the least that her very own piece is a concatenation of unexamined assumptions – the very fault for which she attacks the Zammits so bitterly.

Will she ever learn that her experiences and assumptions are not axioms of universal validity? Ah well, a hack needs readership which vitriol does much to attract.
