As from Tuesday 26 April the Organising Committee of the 14th Games of Small States of Europe to be held in Liechtenstein between 30 May and 4 June, has issued the first set of tickets for the Opening Ceremony. The tickets which cost only 5 Swiss Francs were issued from the Post Offices of Vaduz, Balzers, Triesen, Schaan and Eschen .
It’s the second time after 1999, that Liechtenstein will host the Games of the Small States in Europe.
The LieGames will be under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Hans Adam II von Liechtenstein.
The Technical Regulation of the Games of Small States of Europe says that the “program of the Games must necessarily include six compulsory individual sports (athletics, swimming, judo, shooting, tennis and table tennis) and two team sports (with obligation of basket ball and/or volley ball) men and women.”
The Organising Committee may add a maximum of two other sports, one of them must be an Olympic Sport and the Executive Committee has to approve it. Volleyball (Indoor and Beach) and Squash will be the team sports at the LieGames.
And in addition, cycling competitions will also be on the sports programme in Liechtenstein.
The Liechtenstein Bus Anstalt (Bus Company) and the Liechtenstein Games Organising Committee signed the corresponding partnership agreement. The LBA, as a partner of the LieGames, is responsible for transportation of all athletes, officials, media and accreditated people as well as spectators.
The LOSV is again fortunate to have won professionals like the LBA to manage such a challenging task as the GSSE.
The transport network of the “Liechtenstein Bus” is supplemented by special routes with seven additional lines. These routes connect all hotels, where the delegations are accommodated from Feldkirch to Balzers with the venues.
The LBA collaborates with Liechtenstein bus companies to deliver the appropriate amount of vehicles and contributes with its know-how to the fact that the transportation system works perfectly fine.
