Naxxar Lions fined a total of €3,800 following the incidents which led referee Paul Apap to abandon the Quick-Keno Second/ Third Division Knock-Out semifinal against Zejtun Corinthians.

The MFA Board of Control and Discipline found the club guilty of causing the abandonment of the match near the end, because of the violence on the referee.

The Board also ordered that Naxxar are to forfeit their share of the gate money from the game.

The Board also declared that the result of 2-0 in favour of Zejtun was to stand and this means that

Zejtun Corinthians will be meeting Rabat Ajax in Sunday’s final which will be played at the Hibernians Stadium, starting at 5pm.
