It is long overdue that Government Whip David Agius is brought to book for his antics at the basketball venue. A one-month suspension from Ta’ Qali is a joke!
The MBA should restore honour to the role of MBA vice-presidency by stripping him of this position and passing it on to a person more deserving of it.
Furthermore, the PM should chuck him out from his role as Whip and also from the party.
As The Times stated “this was not the first time the temperamental MP lost his cool at Ta’ Qali during a basketball match.”
I remember a while ago, when a spectator, the father of a player, was barred from Ta’ Qali for a month because he called the referee ‘pulċinell’ – he did not insult anyone!
It is beyond anyone’s imagination how Agius got to be vice-president of the MBA! I also beg to ask, what qualifications and experience does one need to be endowed with, in order to become Government Whip.
