Malta Independent Friday, 6 May 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The fourth edition of the three-day Homes of Quality Golf tournament came to an end recently. The tournament, which took place at the Royal Malta Golf Club between the 14 and 17 April was won by Jan Stibbs.

The tournament opened with 160 participants and included stableford competitions for the ladies’ and the men’s categories.

The top 72 scorers from the qualifying rounds competed in the final on Sunday for the grand prize – a delightful trip for two to a golfing resort in Tuscany.

JJ Micallef and Laine Tutane qualified as the best players in the men’s and ladies’ categories respectively. The best runners-up were Boerkhard Loehner and Janice Blackburn for the men’s and ladies’ categories respectively.

Frank Salt, chairman, thanked the competitors and expressed his pleasure at seeing such keen participation by the men and lady golfers alike. Grahame Salt, director, added: “The region of Tuscany was chosen as the grand prize given the region’s variety of golf courses, some set close to the sea and others in the picturesque countryside. The Homes of Quality Golf Tournament has been running since 2008 and is one such activity that celebrates lifestyle and property”.

Through its carefully selected portfolio of properties, Homes of Quality seeks to bring its clients together with the right property. Grahame Salt thanked all the players for their participation and The Royal Malta Golf Club for making this edition yet another success.
