Michael Pule (‘A tool for the rich’, TMID, 28 April), must have got it backwards.

Both he and I know perfectly well that annulment is for the rich. If he is not sure, he can check with some of the politicians or others who could afford one.

I know people who have been there, done that. Divorce will not be free, nothing is for free; but it won’t cost anywhere close to annulment. I have to admit the damages or solutions are the same and in an annulment you get your money’s worth because it washes out any trace of the previous marriage. See divorce does not do all that.

Who was he trying to kid? People are not that gullible anymore.
