Please refer to your faithful parliamentary report titled ‘VAT scandal report to be tabled on Monday’ (TMID, 6 May). Kindly allow me to clarify one point only.

Regarding  the Waste Oils Ltd report mentioned, parliamentary secretary Mario de Marco did not promise to publish it ‘once it is concluded’ but he said that he will publish it once it is found since it was still being looked for.

The report in question - which has long been drawn up - is an independent impact assessment on the would-be operations of waste oils made by University Services Ltd some ten years ago, that was eventually submitted to Mepa.
