Peter Busuttil, who has been actively and professionally involved in the entertainment industry since 1981, including in the theatre, television and film, has been appointed film commissioner.

Mr Busuttil graduated in education from the University of Malta and in performing arts from the Paolo Grassi, Milan (ex-Piccolo Teatro di Milano). For the past three years he has been actively involved in the Malta Film Commission.

He has produced, directed and hosted a number of television shows since 1987, from entertainment to drama, documentaries and films for television. He has created and produced a number of large events on a national scale, including Notte Bianca, Science Week, EU Information Festivals and Malta Eurosong festivals.
