A foundation for Wouter Weylandt's family has been set up by his Leopard-Trek team in honor of the Belgian cyclist who died in a high-speed crash at the Giro d'Italia.
The money raised will go to help support his pregnant girlfriend Sophie Anne, who is due to give birth in September.
Leopard-Trek says "we lost a great person and true friend. In these hard times, we especially want to think of those who were closest to Wouter: his family."
The 26-year-old Weylandt died on Monday when he crashed after clipping a wall during a descent on the fourth stage of the Giro.
