The Chairman of the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport, Bernard Vassallo, together with Pippo Psaila, Chairperson of the KMS Equestrian Festival organizing committee, and the Presidents of the Malta Racing Club, the Malta Equestrian Federation and the Malta Polo Club, today will be giving details about the second edition of the KMS Equestrian Festival.
Kunsill Malti għall-iSport, in collaboration with the Malta Racing Club, the Malta Equestrian Federation and the Malta Polo Club,will be hosting the second edition of the Equestrian Festival, on Sunday 5 June 2, at the Marsa Horse Racing track.
The festival will offer a full day of activities between 7am and 6pm for the general public and act as a unique platform to bring together and promote the various Equestrian disciplines, providing also the thousands of enthusiasts of the sport with an opportunity of experiencing a day activity around horses and riders.
This year the Equestrian festival will feature some novelties, the highlight of which is a pre-event that the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport willll be hosting today at the Marsa Racing Track from 9.30am till 11.30am where thousands of students will be attending a morning event during which they will, among other things, experience a gymkhana (fun activity) with games on horseback that will have young talented riders together with their horses as the protagonists.
The activity will also bring to the fore other young Maltese sporting talents where the BMX team will put on a spectacular live display for the students attending, who in turn will also be engaged in a Zumba session. During the course of the equestrian festival road show, a pony race shall be also organised as a fun activity that will involve all the children in attendance.
The highlight of the equestrian road show shall be the Double Trap Shooting Sport world champion William Chetcuti who will be in attendance and will conduct a question and answer session with the students as well as be available for a photograph and autograph session.
