The Austrian anti-doping agency is investigating European 200-metre medley champion Dinko Jukic for missing an unannounced doping test, NADA chief Andreas Schwab says.
According to the Austrian swim federation, doping officials visited the 22-year-old Jukic during a training session at the Wiener Stadionbad on Tuesday but left without taking blood samples after Jukic complained about the hygienic conditions.
Schwab told the Austrian Press Agency yesterday that “it’s absolutely not sure yet that Jukic has breached the rules.”
Schwab said NADA is studying a report by the doping officials who visited Jukic and a statement by the swimmer before deciding on any further steps.
