Two teams of six girls and six boys participated in the World Schools’ Swimming Championships which where held in Malta the past weekend. There where around 300 participants from 18 nations taking part.

Two swimmers from the local teams qualified for the finals with Nikki Muscat, right, qualifying in the 50m freestyle in which she placed second. She also qualified in the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle.

Andrea Agius qualified in the 50m and 100m breaststroke. In the former he broke the age group D record (previous record – 31.59) by clocking 31.54.
