The Maltese Olympic Committee had said Friday that there were no objections for cyclist David Millar to join Team Malta in Liechtenstein.

However, Chef de Mission and MOC director Mark Cutajar said yesterday that the cyclist will not be forming part of the Maltese contingent.

Millar, who until yesterday was taking part in the Giro d’Italia was considered as a potential gold medal winner in the cycling time trial, in which he is one of the world’s few specialists.
