Malta team official Alex Anastasi yesterday showed a lot of optimism as he spoke about the prospects of the team at these Games.

Anastasi told reporters that he was expecting the men’s pair of Daniel Bajada and Simon Gerada to win a doubles silver medal.

He said the team had held a good training camp and were in good shape.

Even the women’s pair of Jessica Pace and Lu Pei Feng are anxiously looking forward to their participation at these Games.

While Pei Feng said she was in Liechtenstein to win, the 16-year-old Pace said she was enthusiastic about her first ever participation. “I am looking forward to my first appearance. I am very excited at the prospect of playing and at the same time I feel convinced that I will be cutting a good figure,” she added.
