A motorist has to wonder these days, exactly what wardens and traffic policemen are there for. They are quite happy to handout fines for the most mundane and little violations, yet roadhogs are allowed to get away with murder.
A ‘to and from’ trip to work, more often than not, ends with jangled nerves and a sense of having escaped death, at least once. People zip from lane to lane, cut each other off, forefeit the right of way system and more. Others are just abusive bullies that cause people to panic, in turn contributing towards more accidents.
The police and wardens need to book these people and the court or tribunal needs to then slap them with a heavy fine. In my experience, people do change their ways when their back pocket has been touched. If nothing is done, the atrocious state of driving will only continue to deteriorate further.
