There were more satisfying results in the individual competitions yesterday as these started in earnest at the Squash House, just outside Vaduz.

Three of the four players, Diane Desira and Annabelle Olivieri Munroe in the women’s event and Brad Hindle Deguara in the men’s event, were given a bye while Joe Desira was drawn to face Andreas Koufettas of Cyprus in the first round.

The former three all won their matches 3-0 while Desira had to withdraw because of the injury he suffered on Thursday.

In the women’s quarterfinal, Desira defeat Cypriot girl Christina Vrahimi, while Annabelle Olivieri Munroe beat Luxembourg’s Francoise Donven.

Hindle Deguara also beat his Icelandic opponent, Robert Haldorsson easily.

They play the semi-finals and the eventual finals today
