Neptunes had no trouble beating a woeful Ta’ Xbiex side racking up a huge advantange midway with the result never in doubt.

Steve Camilleri helped himself to a potful of goals as did Tamas Molnar with Sergey Markoch rotating his players regularly.

Neptunes won all four sessions by large margins with Camilleri and Molnar totting up no less than 16 goals between them. The result set up a marker for the other teams as Neptunes with Molnar and Camilleri on top form appear quite formidable this season.

Valletta, returning to premier waterpolo after many years, staged an impressive comeback in the final session to beat Exiles Jet services in a thrilling encounter. However Exiles slick finishing and the regular goals coming from their impressive foreigner Cuk seemed to have made the difference as Valletta were slightly rash in front of goal.

Exiles shaded the first two sessions 4-2 and 3-2 with Cuk netting four times. The third session was more balanced with Valletta managing to draw 2-2 but Exiles still took a three goal lead into the final session. However, Valletta staged aremarkable comeback in the final session winning 5-0 to register an historic 11-9 victory.
