Reference is made to the story published in the Wednesday issue of The Malta Independent on page 7 entitled ‘Ministers give different replies on course for carers’.

The Malta Independent quoted two sentences from Minister Cristina’s reply and ommitted the third sentence which clearly stated that those who attend training on a temporary basis as part of their course cannot be considered as gainfully occupied and can continue registering for work.

Hence the Parliamentary replies given by Minister Cristina and Minister Cassar do not give different answers but complement each other.
