Malta Independent Friday, 10 June 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The Kunsill Malti għall-iSport (KMS) Skolasport 2010-2011 programme came to an end with the annual Sports Manifestation Day. KMS Skolasport has the support of Kellogg’s, the world’s leading producer of cereals.

Participants gathered at the Cottonera Sports Complex on Friday evening to showcase their sporting talent in front of an audience consisting of proud parents, relatives and friends.

The event kicked off with a dance routine followed by a gymnastic routine that succesfully displayed the skills the young participants acquired during the scholastic year in various sport disciplines. The evening was rounded up, much to the enjoyment of all those attending, with a Zumba party by the popular couple Pedro and Maria.

During the presentation of the Kellogg’s sponsorship to KMS Skolasport, Tony Papadoukakis, Kellogg’s Market Development Manager for the Mediterranean, said: “Kellogg’s has been supporting Skolasport for the past 12 years, as it believes in its valuable service in developing sport talents among the young Maltese generation. Both Kellogg’s and Skolasport share the same goals of promoting a healthy lifestyle through a balanced diet and sports participation.”

The KMS presented for the second year the ‘Annabelle Vassallo Award’ for “Most Committed Coach” which was presented by Bernard Vassallo, Chairman for the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport to Charles Mizzi.

Vassallo remarked that, “Charles has always shown great commitment and dedication throughout these years and has worked whole heartedly putting all his passion and energy into what he does.”
