Neptunes Emirates cantered to their second victory on the trot virtually guaranteeing first place in their group when they disposed of Valletta stopping the Citizen’s run in their tracks. The first two sessions emphasisesd Neptunes’ superiority with the Balluta boys winning 5-2 and 6-2 with Steve Camilleri and Gokkovic scoring regularly while Valletta relied on the power of Kovacs for their goals.

The third session was another one sided affair with Neptunes winning 4-1 while the final session again saw Neptunes prevail 5-3 for a final score of 20-8 in their favour and a second win on the trot.

After their disappointing defeat against Valletta, Exiles bounced back with a strong performance against newcomers Sirens who were playing their first match. After a close first session which ended 2-2, Exiles opened up a three goal lead at the change of ends to win 4-1 and build a 6-3 lead.

The third session saw Exiles increase their lead by winning 2-1 with Sullivan scoring a brace and setting up a 4 goal game in the final session. Exiles continued administering their advantage in the final session through two goals by Cuk for a final scoreline of 10-5 in their favour.
