Nello Calleja has been appointed by the European Volleyball Confederation (C.E.V.) to officiate two matches in this season’s Ladies’ European League between Spain and Greece. These two matches will be played this coming weekend in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona).

The European League is a competition for senior national teams organised every summer by the C.E.V.

Twelve teams in each gender are divided into three groups each, with each team playing a double header against each of the other teams, on a home and away basis.

Last weekend, Greece and Spain met in Pyrgos, Greece, with Greece winning the first match 3-2, whilst Spain managed to win the second match 3-1.

The other two teams in Group A are Serbia and France.

Calleja will be officiating these matches together with Sandro La Micela from the Italian Federation.
