On loan left back defender Steve Bezzina, a former Valletta FC player, has extended his stay with the Blues for another season with an option for Sliema Wanderers to sign him for good at the end of the season.

After securing the services of foreigners Jackson Lima, attacking midfielder Jorge Santos Silva, striker Daniel Mitev and also of former Tarxien player Ryan Grech, Steve Bezzina  has become the fifth acquisition for the upcoming season for the Sliema Wanderers committee under President Steve Abela.

Twenty  four year old Bezzina joined the Blues in season 2010-11 for a year loan move and after recovering from his injury which kept him aside for almost two months, he took his place on the left flank.

Under the regime of new coach Danilo Doncic , Steve has played also in a central defender position.
