Utter Lack of respect for Malta’s historic works of art

Malta Independent Sunday, 19 June 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

Kenneth Gambin, Chief Curator at Heritage Malta, says that “Heritage Malta takes advice… from internationally recognised academic expertise” and furthermore that “it has all the necessary expertise to advise how best to approach such situations” TMIS, 12 June).

If this is the case, can Mr Gambin be so kind as to give the names of these internationally recognised experts who advised this utter lack of respect for Malta’s historic art works?

I would like to ask them whether they would have advised a similar approach to their own Rodin, to their Henry Moore, their Hepworth, and to their own heritage.

As far as the last part of the last paragraph of Kenneth Gambin’s letter is concerned, all I can say is that it is, mildly speaking, an absolute untruth.
