Marsascala had no difficulty notching up their first win of the season when they disposed of a rather feeble challenge by Otters.

In fact, the Southseasiders had alraedy ratched up a seven goal advantage at the midway point with Milos Koralji scoring five times and the other goals distributed amongst the other players with the first two sessions going 5-1 and 5-2 in Marsascala’s favour.

The third session was more balanced with Marsascala shading it 3-2. The final session saw Otters stage a mini revival where they also won 3-1 for a final score of 14-8 in favour of Marsascala.

Sliema McDonalds confirmed their position at the top of Group B with a hard fought victory over San Giljan Giuseppe’s.

The first session was a close affair with San Giljan edging it 4-3 largely through the prowess of Trajkovic who scored three times.

A highly animated second session saw Sliema bounce back winning 6-3 with Rath and Fodor scoring frequently to nudge Sliema ahead.

The third session was another close affair ending 2-2 with both sides missing some good man up opportunities.

The final session also finished in a draw with Sliema comfortably defending san giljan’s advances and register a victory which seesm the top Group B
