Play Offs 7th Place

Valletta Dhalia 20

Otters Nivea 14

(4-0)(6-2)(5-4)(5-8)

Valletta made sure of the result in the first part of the match, when they established a handsome adavantage.

The score really is a bit lenient on the Gozitans, who made up a more respectable score in the last period, when Valletta seemed to be quite content with what they had achieved thus far.

Failed man ups were the downfall of Otters up till the interval, when they fluffed the first four, but after the break they managed to score all six in their favour. Valleta had less occasions of an extra player, and they scored three from five. Valletta had Mauro camilleri in their ranks for the first time, in place of the absent Kurt Micallef. By mid-match Valleta had already made up a 10-2 score, and although Otters were more prolific in the latter part of the encounter, Valletta were still putting in their goals, to hold off their opponents till the end.

Adam Decker was Valleta’s best scorer, with four goals to his credit, and at the other end, there was also a poker of goals for Adam Maklari, the Otters player.
