Malta will be represented in four categories in the Pool World Championships to be played in Blackpool, England between tomorrow and 6 July.

These are the Male’s category, the Youths Under 18 and Under 21 categories as well as the Ladies.

Malta’s male team is made up of Miguel Falzon, Clayton Attard, Johann Attard, Christ Tabone, MArio Brincat, Clint Azzopardi, Claudio Cassar and Kevin Mercieca.

Besides the teams’ events, the players will also take part in individual competition.

The Maltese contingent is leaving for Blackpool today under the charge of Vincent Degiorgio, General Secretary of the Pool Association, who will be contesting the World Federation election for the post of General Secretary.

There are 13 countries taking pasrt in these Championships, England, Ireland, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, France, Kenya, South Africa, India, Uganda, West Indies and of course Malta.
