Neptunes will be organising their annual summer swimming school between 4 July and 9 September at the club’s fresh water swimming pool in St. Julians, for children aged between three and 15 years.
Participants may choose either morning or afternoon lessons, and will be split into various groups, according to age and ability, with special emphasis on teaching the correct breathing and swimming stroke techniques.
At the end of the course, participants will given a Certificate of Attendance, and after summer those swimmers who want to take this sport seriously will be given the opportunity to join one of the various Neptunes swimming squads and continue regular training throughout the year.
The Neptunes Swimming Unit of the club was been established more than 20 years ago and many of Malta’s present and past National Team swimmers have had their swimming grassroots at Neptunes.
The waterpolo school is also being organised for children aged between eight and 13 years from 5 July to 6 September.
Waterpolo training sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. Waterpolo School applicants must be able to swim the basic strokes.
Participants will be split into groups according to age and ability and the players who complete the course successfully will be given a Certificate of Attendance.
Attendance to both the Waterpolo and Swimming Schools is also possible.
Further information and registration forms and dates for both swimming and waterpolo schools may be obtained from the club website www.neptuneswpsc.com or by sending an e-mail on [email protected].
