The Island Karting Club will be hosting the fourth round of the 30th anniversary national karting championship today at its trakc in Half Far.
During this special 30th anniversary season, the Island Karting Club will be offering various surprises to make it an anniversary to remember for its members.
It will be an Abu Dhabi style night event, something that has never been organised at this scale throughout the IKC’s 30 years of existence. There will be lighting from the paddock area throughout the whole track with over 18,000 watts, thanks the Noel Vella.
This grand event has already registered over 20 karters. Also taking part in this event is our affiliated club member, the Malta Minimoto Amateur Club.
Categories taking part are the Rotax Series, Kart Modifiers, Formula SKF, Formula PRD and Formula 100.
The event will be full of action and surprises as all participants will be equipped with F1 style rear safety lights.
Guest DJ s will also be filling the evening with a great atmosphere and families enjoying the night out.
The event is scheduled to start with free practice from 9pm until 9.45pm. This will ensure all drivers get used to the track at night.
Pole position will start from 10pm until 10.30pm, followed with two heats per category.
