The Tigers Softball Club (Malta) will leave Malta for the fourth consecutive year next Thursday for training, as well as a tournament, in Taranto, Italy. The tournament will take place on 2 July, where the Maltese team will play against two Italian teams who play in the Serie B Softball league.

During this trip, the Tigers will have the opportunity to encounter Taranto Tritons Softball team, as well as Foggia Softball team.

Three players from Taranto Tritons Softball, Annamaria Linoci, Rosanna Lupo and Stefania Venuti, had the opportunity to play together with the Tigers last October, against Cosmos Firenze here in Malta.

On the other hand, April, Erica Xerri Mallan, team captain for the Tigers Softball Club (Malta), played two games for the Italian team Reggio Calabria, who play in the Serie B league. Xerri Mallan played very well in the positions she was asked to do so, i.e. catcher and in offence. In fact, in this last role she was instrumental in Reggio Calabria’s triumph by batting a very good ball and obtaining two points, leading to the victory of Reggio Calabria with the score of 9-8.
