Bernard has attended and addressed various technical seminars and conferences, and lectures in tax law at the University of Malta.

Stefan Bonello, meanwhile, joined the firm in 1997 after obtaining a degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta. He has since worked in the firm’s audit practice servicing a varied portfolio of local groups of companies. He has also worked in the assurance departments for the PwC practices in Brussels and the UK. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Stefan currently leads a significant number of the firm’s major audits, servicing listed entities, public corporations and major private groups, operating in the real estate, energy, tourism, manufacturing and retailing sectors. Over the years, he has also developed considerable experience in investigations and special assignments. Stefan has led a number of prominent assignments, including local financial advisory projects related to corporate restructuring and corporate finance as well as international high-profile assurance assignments in the US. In recent years, he has also been actively involved in PwC’s international quality review programme and has performed a number of reviews in Italy.

Territory Senior Partner Kevin Valenzia said: “I am delighted to welcome Bernard and Stefan to the partnership in Malta. Providing high quality services that deliver value to our clients and markets will remain at the foundation of all that we do, and both Bernard and Stefan have demonstrated their ability to do this on a consistent basis. Overall, the quality of our people in the firm is excellent and I am sure that, over the coming years, we will invite a number of others to take this important step.”
